Fingers Crossed

I just happen to do a blog stroll when I got home tonight and saw that Brooklyn Bride had a litle giveaway to an event in SF. I posted a comment per the post, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can attend! I will go by myself! I dont care!

I Die!

Since I continue to be all over the board with the style of mine and D.'s wedding, I thought I would share this invite I just saw on iomoi. I Die!

Why? Because one of my prized possessions are my Grandma Barb's blue Foo dogs! We love them and have them in our living room. Plus, if you watch Real Housewives of New York, you will see that Jill Zarin has a few sets in her living room. I just about jumped with joy when I saw that. How cool would these invitations be?

More than likely, it is something that would work better as a personal stationery...

Seeking Inspiration

I am having a hard time keeping all of my wedding wants and desires on the same page.  It is like I have an idea of what I want (envision), but cannot find an example of it. I know that I want a beautiful family style bbq that is classy, not trashy.  But every thing I see with the same idea is way over the top.  Almost too black tie.

Do you remember the last scene in Cold Mountain when they are having a spring meal out in the yard? That is the vibe that I want.

Shout Out!

I just had to post this. I love that this wedding was held at Yoshi's! Why?!?! Because that is where Dann and I went on our first date! We walked around Jack London Square, had a yummy sushi dinner, and then saw Charlie Hunter play live!

Check out Brooklyn Bride for more photos and great modern inspiration!

Fritts Rosenow

These just may be the coolest boutonnieres' ever!  I swoon for them.  I've never been a big fan of flowers on men. And this fits my wants for our wedding on so man levels.

For those of you who don't know much about D., he is a drummer.  Like full on Euro-Metal drummer.  Our spare room is his music room, and he plays as much as he can.  He is very talented, and I enjoy hearing his compilations.

So I'm thinking that something with a little snare and two drum sticks may be the coolest thing ever.  It also gives us a chance to make our wedding as personal as we can.

Family Affair

I saw a posting about these beautiful family trees a few months ago on several blogs, and knew right away that we had to have one! Family, believe it or not, is number one to both Dann and I. Our goal for our wedding is to make it not only the joining of our lives, but the joining of our families. We are both proud of the people we come from, and want them to know how much they mean to us. Because we don't show it as much as we should, this will incorporate their influence!

Check out Melangerie and see all of the wonderful items!
